From February 27 to March 1, 2025, Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music (PGVIM) organized the “Embracing the Ocean” Volunteer Camp in Chonburi Province. This initiative was part of the Community Development Volunteer Program for Music Profession Development, under the 2025 fiscal year.
A Learning Experience Beyond the Classroom
The camp aimed to provide students with hands-on learning experiences that extended beyond traditional academic settings. It also encouraged participants to apply their musical knowledge in meaningful and impactful ways.
Volunteer Activities and Musical Creativity
Students engaged in community service by:
- Beach clean-up efforts, promoting environmental awareness
- Composing original music inspired by their surroundings, capturing the essence of the ocean and nature
- Performing music for the public, raising awareness about environmental conservation through creative expression
This initiative fostered a sense of responsibility toward sustainable living, emphasizing the harmonious coexistence between humans and nature. PGVIM remains committed to integrating music with social and environmental consciousness, empowering students to use their artistry for positive change.
