The Princess Galyani Vadhana International Ensemble Competition is dedicated to fostering ensemble performance skills among young musicians, both in Thailand and internationally. International Classical Guitar Ensemble Competition (Guitar with Other Instruments)

One of the highlights of the competition is the International Classical Guitar Ensemble Competition, which features classical guitar in combination with other instruments, starting from duos and larger ensembles. This initiative encourages young guitarists to expand their musicianship by collaborating with other instrumentalists, enhancing their ensemble performance techniques and musical expression. Additionally, the competition promotes the establishment and development of classical guitar orchestras and mixed-instrument guitar ensembles, further integrating the guitar into chamber and orchestral settings.

  1. Category: Chamber Ensemble
    • Open to instrumental ensembles of 3 to 8 musicians
    • No conductor required
    • Encourages collaboration and artistic interpretation within small ensemble settings
  2. Category: Duo with Piano
    • Features duos consisting of one classical instrument and piano or two pianos (four-hand or two-piano performance)
    • Designed to highlight duo performance techniques and musical synergy
