การแสดงในโครงการบริการวิชาการเพื่อสังคมด้านดนตรีคลาสสิก (Musique de la vie) ภายใต้คอนเสิร์ต “The Use of the Self: Musical Mirrors of the Alexander Technique” การแสดงดังกล่าวนำเอาบทประพันธ์ Pavane pour une infante défunte’ โดยนักประพันะ์ชาวฝรั่งเศส Maurice Ravel มาเรียบเรียงใหม่โดย Jean-David Caillouët อาจารย์ประจำสำนักวิชาดุริยางค์ศาสตร์ มาร่วมประกอบการแสดงกับการเคลื่อนไหวจากแนวคิด Alexander Technique ร่วมกับวิดิทัศน์การแสดงที่มีแนวคิดจาก “วันเด็ก” ช่วงเวลาที่เราสามารถใช้เวลาในการค่อย ๆ ค้นพบและเข้าใจโลกในแบบของเราเอง ในขณะเดียวกันจิตวิญญาณความเป็นเด็กในตัวเราที่อาจหายไปได้ หากเราไม่ระมัดระวังที่จะรักษาความขี้เล่นและจิตวิญญาณอันบริสุทธิ์ไว้ ซึ่งเป็นแก่นแท้ของตัวตนที่แท้จริงของเรา นี่คือสิ่งที่เราทุกคนต้องพยายามรักษาไว้ตลอดชีวิตของเรา 

“As we approach the start of this coming new cycle, i would like to share with you my arrangement of one of my favorite melodies: Ravel’s ‘Pavane pour une infante défunte’.

We used this piece within pour performance of “The Use of The Self: Musical Mirrors of The Alexander Technique” a year and a half ago in Bangkok.

The videos used throughout illustrate the theme of childhood, the experiences that inform the gradual understanding of ourselves and our discovery of the world itself. The title in this case symbolizes the child within us that can die if we are not careful to preserve the playfulness and pure spirit at the core of our true selves. This is something we must all strive to preserve throughout our lifetime, day after day and year after year.
